Grade 7 & 8
In Grades 7 and 8, intentional emphasis is placed on independence and high school preparation.
Students are challenged to think about their worldview, their most basic beliefs that shape their view of and for the world. A Biblical worldview curriculum is taught. Students develop their French language skills. Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum (OCS is a Google Apps for Education school) and used as tools for student learning. Students have access to Chromebooks, as well as a well-established instrumental music program.
Students are given opportunities to participate in science fairs, math contests, music and art festivals. Field trip opportunities, including overnight trips, are provided to complement curriculum. Co-curriculars, such as athletics, music and art, provide students opportunities to develop their skills and abilities.

Mans Eisen
GR. 7/8 TEACHER (BA, OCT)
My journey in education has been fueled by my belief in Christ’s redeeming work on this earth. Having taught in the Christian school system for ten years, I relish the opportunity to guide students, not only academically, but socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Teaching in a school that strives to glorify God, allows me the privilege of walking alongside students as they grow in community and develop leadership potential, character, and grit. I feel truly blessed to serve in God’s Kingdom work!
