We are extremely excited to welcome Julie Scrivens and Mans Eisen to the Orangeville Christian School (OCS) teaching staff and school community.
When we select new staff members, we are searching for team players that are humble, hungry and smart. Both Julie and Mans exhibit the following characteristics that we cultivate and encourage in all our staff members at OCS.
- Humble team members are quick to point out the contributions of others and slow to seek attention for their own. They share credit, emphasize team over self and define success collectively rather than individually.
- Hungry team members are self-motivated and diligent. They are constantly thinking about the next step and the next opportunity.
- Smart team members are interpersonally appropriate and aware. They have good judgment and intuition around the subtleties of group dynamics and the impact of their words and actions.
In addition to these shared characteristics, Julie and Mans bring a wealth of Christian school teaching and administrative knowledge and skill that will be a blessing to our students for years to come.

Julie Scrivens
Julie is a driven, dedicated educational leader with 25 years of experience in Christian education as a teacher and administrator. As an experienced educator, she has a wealth of teaching experience across all elementary grades that is enriched by her academic background in child studies. She is a graduate of Brock University with Primary/Junior qualifications.
The Scrivens family is excited to return to southwestern Ontario and specifically Orangeville where Julie’s husband, Brad, was raised. We are also very privileged to welcome their daughter Madison to our grade 1 class.
Please pray that their transition from Picton to Grand Valley at the end of July will be blessed as they settle into their new communities.

Mans Eisen
Mans is heavily invested in the cause of Christian education as both an educator and a parent. Over the last ten years, he has served as an educator, administrator and leader in his school, church and local community. He is a graduate of Redeemer University with Junior/Intermediate qualifications.
The Eisen family is excited to join our school community and settle into their new home, close to their extended family. We are very privileged to welcome Mans’ wife, Ange, and their children to OCS: Cor (at home); Theo (JK); Leta (1); and Arie (3).
Please pray that their transition from Wyoming to Alliston at the end of July will be blessed as they settle into their new communities.
Sincerely,
Rick Schenk
