Director of the School of Music (Dbl Maj. BA (Hons)
Hi Everyone Christopher Prins here! I have been a full-time professional Music Teacher and local small-business Owner at New OpporTUNEities Studio for 14 years, teaching guitar, drums, ukulele and bass guitar. I also have the enormous privilege of being the Director of Music Ministry at Good Friends Church at the Uptown Theatre along with my (Beautiful) Wife Becki Prins! :). I know and love many of you already and look forward to meeting new faces as I once again return to OCS to teach private music lessons during school hours as part of the OCS School of Music! I am committed to assisting the training up a new generation of musician warriors who can support their local body of Christ through their giftings. My twins Darian and Roxie attend OCS in grade 4 and I have a new baby boy expected September 2021! Above all else, Christ is King and I am a blessed man.

Music Teacher (MA)
Ryan loves seeing students grow and excel both spiritually and musically. His warmth and encouragement create a safe environment for young instrumentalists to learn and explore music. At the core of this creative energy is his love for jazz, playing the saxophone (and woodwinds) and helping others realize their musical goals. Ryan serves in worship and believes music uplifts and draws people closer to God in a special and unique way.
Ryan is offering lessons in saxophones, flute and clarinet (and bass clarinet!). He has recently completed his Master’s degree with a research focus on breathing pedagogy for woodwind practitioners – integrating the wellness benefits of breathwork with instrumental practice to help students reduce anxiety and stress. Ryan is currently a PhD candidate and holds a TA (teaching assistant) position at the university. He lives in Orangeville with his wife and two rapidly growing kids.
